BCID is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax exempt organization dependent on government contracts, foundation grants and private contributors like you. In these times of shrinking government resources, your support and generosity are especially valued, needed and appreciated.
BCID uses donations to expand and enhance program services, expand our advocacy and outreach efforts, guarantee Independent Living skills training services to every disabled person and ensure equal and integrated access and preservation of civil rights.

BCID is a membership organization and exists to serve all people with disabilities. Make your voice heard by joining our organization. Membership dues are collected annually and support the work we do on your behalf. For more information, access our Membership Information section for a printable form.
WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP ENTITLE YOU TO?
- Payment of membership dues will help BCID continue to provide high quality services and programming, as well as the development of new and exciting program activities.
- Membership gives you the right to seek nomination for the Board of Directors.
- Membership gives you the right to serve on committees.
- Membership empowers you to have your voice heard by participating in advocacy activities on behalf of BCID.
Note: Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month and are open to all members of BCID. Please call for exact dates. (Members wishing to speak at meetings must submit their request in writing one (1) week in advance.)
When we receive your completed application and membership fee, you will receive your membership packet (membership card, written confirmation of your membership entitlements and BCID news and information).
